float  offers a mix of modern, classic and elegant design for all ocassions. we use only the finest quality materials and offer a choice of printing techniques, including letter press, engraving (raised printing) and offset lithography (flat) to accommodate a variety of price ranges.

CUSTOM DESIGN PROCESS ~ for invitations, stationery and custom correspondence

BEGIN ~ contact float for a consultation! either over the phone or in-person, we can discuss your correspondence needs. personalize one of our float favorites (ready-made invitations and stationery), or let float create a new and unique look for your save the dates, invitations, programs, thank you notes, personal staionery or announcements. to assist in your planning, save the dates are typically sent 4-6 months in advance and invitations are mailed 6-8 weeks prior to the wedding date. it is never to early to get started with your invitations or stationery! personalizing our float favorites with your own color scheme and type choice is a quick, easy and fun option, while those with a little more time may choose to design a completely custom invitation suite. rush services are available, please let us know of your timeline.

QUOTING & DEPOSITS ~ pricing is readily available for all float favorites, simply email your quantity. for all other custom work, an itemized quote will be provided based on your consultation. to begin your project, float requires a 50% nonrefundable deposit, payable either by personal check or credit card. The remainder of the balance is due before the final product is shipped or delivered.

WORDING & PROOFS ~ once we have received your deposit, please provide all wording for your project via email. float would be happy to assist you with proper etiquette and wording for your project if you have any questions. your proofs will be emailed as pdf files for your review. three rounds of proof edits are included in your original quote. float is not responsible for extra text edits or changes, and a charge of $50 per proof after the third round will apply. please review your proof carefully, checking anything and everything - all names, dates, addresses, etc. float is not responsible for any errors left unchanged. once you are satisfied with the finished design, a final proof will be provided for you to sign and fax back, along with the float proof approval agreement.

PRINTING & TURNAROUND ~ after your piece is approved, your completed designs will be forwarded to one of our printers. expect your final product to be ready within 4-5 weeks from proof approval, depending on type of printing technique and assembly process (if applicable). all finished products are shipped via fed ex and appropriate shipping costs will be included in final balance.
