float notes

jenifer + scott

i was thrilled to see photos featuring float from a recent client! we began with a float favorite design, and tailoried it for their wedding, incorporating images of the groom’s great dane and the bride’s two cats. custom dane and cat images were also used to personalize towels, stamps, and to distinguish meal choice (cat with fishbone and dog with meatbone) for their guests. it was really fun to take a design i really love and make it even more special. thank you jenifer and scott!

vote for float!

voting is open for the quickfire menu challenge at minted.com! please visit minted.com and vote for the new menu designs from float under the design challenge menu. menu designs chosen from this challenge will have an entire wedding suite created in the look and be available for sale on minted. i have submitted three different looks - float + greens (above), with a casual and fun spring look, float + framed, bold and classic text with an antique frame and modern backing, and float + mapped, featuring a beautiful map motif for a destination celebration. check previous posts for the other two designs and vote for float at minted.com!

destination weddings!

although the weather is crummy in chicago today, the studio has been full of sunshine thanks to all of the upcoming destination weddings we are working on! yay! above is a save the date idea for an upcoming wedding - it is a two color letterpressed piece with a corresponding letterpressed envelope lining. float clients receive a few different design directions to begin with, and then we focus on the look the client prefers. the above is one of the beginning save the date directions, not the look my client chose - i didn’t want to spoil the surprise of the real save the date, so the final direction this bride selected will be coming soon.
